I have a weakness for working in pastel in the late afternoon along this beach. On clear evenings, the light is magical, and as the sun gets lower in the sky, the water becomes opalescent, in the real sense of the word. Most beach-goers pack to leave and go home, but for a few it's the beginning of the most beautiful hour of the day. I'm among the latter.
